A Transformative Donation from Ken Jinkerson Fuels Innovation in Cancer Immunotherapy

We are deeply grateful to announce a generous donation from Ken Jinkerson, which has enabled our laboratory to acquire a Biological Irradiator, a state-of-the-art instrument that delivers highly stable and reproducible X-ray irradiation for controlled in vivo studies. This transformative gift will significantly strengthen our research capabilities, and we are thankful to Ken for his extraordinary generosity and commitment to advancing scientific discovery. Ken is a distinguished chemical engineer and a member of the Academy of Chemical and Biochemical Engineers at Missouri S&T, whose 43-year career in oil refining spanned nine companies, seven countries, and 26 refineries, including multiple refinery manager roles and service as Vice President of Process Engineering at HollyFrontier prior to his retirement. A proud alumnus of Missouri S&T (MS in Chemical Engineering), he has combined professional excellence with a lifelong passion for travel, learning, and global engagement. We sincerely thank Ken again for his vision and for the meaningful impact he has made on our group through this generous contribution. Our goal is to make significant progress in understanding how radiotherapy reshapes the immune system within solid tumors and to develop improved therapeutic strategies based on these insights to better treat cancer.
