We are excited to welcome our new graduate student, Vincent Baffour Gyawu, to the lab.
Vincent is currently a PhD candidate with a multidisciplinary academic background in biotechnology and biomedical sciences. He holds an MSc in Cell and Gene Therapies, an MPhil in Biotechnology, and a BSc in Agriculture (Biotechnology).
His current research interests are centered on cancer immunoengineering, with a particular focus on developing biomaterial and nanotechnology-based strategies to modulate immune responses for cancer therapy. He is broadly interested in cancer nanomedicine, therapeutic cancer vaccines, immune regulation within the tumor microenvironment, and translational approaches that harness the immune system to improve human health.
Beyond research, he enjoys volunteerism, engaging in community services, and watching soccer.
